Meet Walter Schellenberg, the founder and owner of Decorating with a Difference. With over 35 years of experience in the decorating industry, Walter has honed his craft and developed a unique talent for transforming spaces.
It all began in 1969 when Walter was awarded first place in painting and decorating from a secondary trade school in St. Catharines, Ontario. He then took his skills to the next level by training further in Sweden, where he completed a four-year, six-thousand-hour apprenticeship and received certification as a European trade decorator.
In 1988, Walter returned to Canada and founded Decorating with a Difference. Since then, he has had the privilege of working on some of the most beautiful homes in Toronto, and has even taught workshops on various faux finishes for organizations such as the Ontario Heritage Foundation, and at the Joseph Schneider House in Kitchener among others.
